How I Defeated the Evil Trio with Dove?

Swaying in the breeze, dancing to peppy music, cascading beautifully on my shoulders and bouncing with boundless energy; I had the world's best hair. They were shiny, lustrous and full of life until they had to face the Evil Trio.

The Evil Trio are omnipresent. Open a girl's drawer and you will see them grinning menacingly. First, they lure you with their sweet words. 'Use me, it's so convenient. You will save time" But soon enough, they will show you their true side.

The Evil Trio could defeat my feisty hair because of their secret Weapons of Mass Hair Destruction.

And thus, gorgeous tresses, lured in by their sugar coated promises became their slave...

Look at the sad looking ponytail, my hair had to endure for years together.

Until one fine day, when the Trio were out, I managed to catch this video on TV.

Inspired and full of hope, I decided to sneak out of the house, run to the supermarket and buy my three saviours.

And that was the day, my hair attained freedom, the freedom to play

I am enjoying the freedom to play with my hair to the fullest. Do you know what I do with my hair, thanks to #DovePlay

Well, I curl it, straighten, tie up it in a stylish up do, leave it open, braid it, make a French chignon, give it a I-just-got-up-from-bed look, tie it up with a stylish juda pin, get bangs, colour it, get highlights, get Japanese odangos, perm it, allow it to get all wavy, let the wind mess with it, bask in the sun light, don't worry when they get tangled up, let someone mess it up, cut it short, let it grow, adorn it with mang tikka and beautiful clips, accessorize it with gajras...phew... basically, when it comes to my gorgeous hair, I just follow my heart.

Fulfilling Five Dreams in Malaysia

It was love at first sight for the day I saw the Malaysia, Truly Asia ad on television a few years back. Tropical islands, shopping hubs, adventure sports, flora and fauna; Malaysia was and continues to be a Dream Destination for me.

As a child, I wanted to visit 5 kinds of places at least once in my lifetime and Malaysia, surprisingly boasts of all of them.

# Dream 1 The Greenest Island in the World

The tropical island of Lankawi is one of the most beautiful islands in world. It offers lush green jungles, stunning beaches, a wonderful opportunity to go sightseeing with your family and the world’s best luxury resorts.

Dream 2 Scuba diving

Imagine enjoying a leisurely swim with under water creatures in all the hues of the rainbow. Sounds absolutely wonderful doesn’t it? The Perhentian Island in Malaysia offers all this and more to all its lovely visitors.

Dream 3 Watching sunrise on top of a mountain

A UNESCO world heritage site, the Mount Kinabalu of Malaysia is certainly not an easy climb. But those who manage to conquer it, will definitely be rewarded with delightful sights and sounds.

Dream 4 Jungle Safari in a rainforest

Rainforests are vibrant and full of energy. Insects, trees, animals and birds, all sing out to you, inviting you to witness nature at its best. The Taman Negara is one of the world’s oldest rainforest attracting millions of tourists throughout the year.

Dream 4 Visiting local bazaars

While India offers exquisite treasures in its local bazaars, wouldn’t it be fun to know what other countries offer? Do they have a chaat stall? Little knick knacks? Traditional art forms? Does bargaining take place? I will never know all this and more unless I visit one myself. Malaysia, has offered me the bazaars of Kuantan city full of undiscovered treasures.

Did you like my Top 5 places to visit in Malaysia. What else would you recommend? J

Evergreen Malaysia

Green is the colour that symbolizes fertility, nature and life. Green is also the colour that, for me, symbolizes Malaysia. After all, very few countries can boast of as many national parks as forest reserves, as Malaysia can. Towering trees, picturesque lakes, a rich variety of flora and fauna and sheer beauty is how one can, a little inadequately, sum up Malaysia’s green heritage.

The 5 places that I would love to visit in this beautiful country are

The Gulung Mulu National Park

Tropical limestone, deep canyons, the world’s biggest cave passage, a secret underground chamber and a million bats are a few of the many things you can enjoy in the Gulung Mulu National Park.

What you cannot afford to miss: The Deer cave, Sarawak Chamber, The Pinnacles and the Clear Water cave.

Templer’s Park

A stunning forest reserve located just 22 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur is a paradise for nature lovers. Multi tier waterfalls, scenic trails and clear streams and huge grounds to enjoy a leisurely picnic are the key attractions of the this park

What you cannot afford to miss: Fishing and looking for exotic animals like the earless agamid, emerald doves, crested serpent eagles and the Malaysian crested lizard.

Krau Wildlife Reserve

A place that attracted biologists and zoologist from across the world, the Krau wildlife reserve is the largest in Malaysia. Soak in nature as you enjoy a pleasant ride in this 60, 350 ha reserve.

What you cannot afford to miss: Kuala Gandah, that takes care of displaced animals and spotting the rare Malayan peacock-pheasant.

The Kinabalu Park

A park that is the entrance to the million year old mountains, is an ideal place for history enthusiast.

What you cannot afford to miss: Mount Kinabalu, which is completely made up of granite.

Endau-Rompin National Park

The second largest national park of Malaysia, the Endau-Rompin National Park is home to the oldest tropical rainforests of the world. You can also see the Endau and the Rompin rivers crisscrossing this serene park alond with Jasin, Selai and Segamat rivers.

What you cannot afford to miss: The threatened Sumatran rhinocereos and 248 million old rock formations.

I am going to visit these amazing parks in Malaysia this summer. What about you? J

Bargaining in Malaysia

Malaysia, is a paradise for those who love to shop. It boasts of gigantic malls filled with the best things the world has to offer! And while, the Window Shopaholic in me, would love to visit malls and drool over things that would be added in my list of “Buy when you are the richest person in the world”, the sensible bargain hunter in me tells me visit local markets where I can get some cool things within my budget.
So let’s have a look at some amazing places to shop in Malaysia
The Jalan Petaling Street Market

Located in Malaysia’s Chinatown, you can buy clothes, shoes, bag and other knick knacks for peanuts! Visit this market in the afternoon as there are very few people around and you can enjoy a leisurely stroll as you pick and choose some cute things for yourself.
Sungei Wang Plaza

Bargain to your heart’s in this fashionista’s paradise. The Sungei Wang Plaza has  hundreds of stalls selling casual to formal clothes complete with accessories!
 Bazaar Baru Chow Kit

A typical Malaysian ‘wet market’ where you can pick up some local produce, seafood and other traditional food items. You can also pick up clothes and other accessories from here, but I personally believe that you should go to other markets for that. Don’t hesitate to sample the delicacies offered by the hawkers here!

Central Market

Batik, traditional clothes, sculptures and your own portrait are some of things you must pick up from the Central Market, which is famous for its Malay items. It is a great place to pick up souvenirs for friends and family.

Pasar Malam

Do you hate shopping in the afternoons with the sun beating down your back? Then visit the Pasar Malam or the night market to pick up some accessories, décor pieces for your house, trinkets and pirated versions of all kinds of softwares and movies imaginable.

Some tips for Bargain Hunters

Don’t buy the first thing you like. Visit all the shops and casually ask for prices. Then zero down on the things you would actually love to buy and start bargaining.

Try to take a local along for shopping or simply ask one of the shoppers what you should pay for a particular thing. They will be happy to help you.

Shop in the afternoons,(except in the Pasar Malam :P) to get some amazing deals. The stall owners will give you a good deal in order to make the first sale of the day.

Gorge on Pork jerky, Air Mata Kucing, Deep Fried Sweet Potato Balls and fresh tropical juices as you shop!

Most the important tip, have a blast and empty your pockets!

Revisit History with Malaysia

For a history buff, Malaysia is an incredible destination. From ancient archaeological sites to stunning heritage structures, Malaysia is a paradise for those who love explore historical places. Here are my favorite places!

 Niah Caves

Considered to be one of the most important historical site in the world, the Niah caves should definitely be on your must visit list! Human remains, jewellery, shells, axes, pots and other tools as old as 40,000 years have been discovered here. The Painted caves are another attraction here.

 Lembah Bujang

The Lembah Bujang, roughly translated in to the ‘Dragon Valley, has ruins which are more than 2000 years old. Fifty tomb candis (temples) have been discovered here. When this site was further excavated, iron smelting sites and a brick monument was discovered, which was the oldest manmade structure found in South Asia till date. The Lembah Bujang is truly rich in history and heritage.

 Bukit China

Roughly translated as Chinese Hills, the Bukit China dates back to Ming dynasty. The Well of Hang Li Po, was reputed to never dry out, even during droughts. People also believed it to be a wishing well. It is said that anyone who throws a coin in to the well, will definitely return to Malacca (the town where it is located) someday.

Terengganu State Museum

It is not a historical site per se, but the Terengganu State Museum, is home to the Terengganu Inscription Stone, which is the oldest artifact with Jawi writing on it. 700 years old, this stone is believed to have been written on 22 February 1303.

Fort Cornwallis

Fort Cornwallis is a privately managed historical site that is open to tourists. Some parts of the original structures built nearly hundred years back can beseen here. These include prison cells, a harbor light which would signal ships, bronze canons and a chapel. It is believed that Seri Rambai, which is a Dutch canon, can positively affect a woman’s fertility.

I am excited to visit these places of historical importance. What about you? :)

As precious as a grain of salt

Her presence in the Irani cafe was enough to brighten up the whole place; her smile could charm anybody, even the crabby old man who would sit near the cash register. The surly waiter smiled when she placed an order for brun maska and Irani chai and got her food in record time. Preeti sat there sipping her tea, nibbling on lavishly buttered brun and waited for Vijay to turn up. After 45 minutes (a record time for somebody being allowed to sit in an Irani cafe) she paid and left.

She returned home and dialled the number. “I am willing to accept the offer.”, she said quietly and after exchanging a few pleasantries she hung, tears rolling down her eyes.
She could remember each and every word exchanged during their fight two weeks back. Vijay never took her seriously and when she finally asked him in anger what she meant for him, he replied, “To me, you are as precious as a grain of salt”

She walked out, promising never to look back again.

He kept calling her and at her weakest moment, she picked up.

“Meet me in the Irani cafe. Just once. Then you can decide whether you wish to leave India or not.”

She agreed and only to be stood up once again. He was calling her again, incessantly, but she decided to switch off her phone and sleep off. Easier said than done.

*****

London was a treat for the eyes, everything she imagined as a child. She felt like she had walked into a Bollywood movie, only in this case, there was no hero.

Preeti let her work take over her mind and worked like clockwork day after day. In the morning, she would go jogging; even as she pusher herself to run another mile. After a breakfast of eggs and toast, she would go to the University and start preparing for her lectures. In the evenings, she would sink into her bed with a book and let sleep take over her, whenever it so desired. Her routine never varied, except on Fridays. On Fridays she organized a special meeting for her students, where all of them had the freedom to present whatever they want. It could be a new book they read, a poem they had written or maybe some recipe they had decided to try out. It was a fun evening and it was one of the few times she smiled with all her heart.

*****
18th May, today is 18thMay”,  her heart kept on saying.

So?, her brain said angrily. It’s just another day.

But... her heart started.

Not a word more, said her brain and shut her heart up.

*****
In the evening...

“Hey, Preeti. All set for today?”, Sam called out.

“Yes”, she said smiling.

She entered the room and saw a familiar set of faces grinning at her.

“So, what are we going to do today?”

“We are going to do something special today,” Darren spoke.

“Like we do every week?,” Preeti asked laughing.

“Nah...trust us tonight ‘s gonna be a good night” chipped in Karen.

“Going Black Eyed Peas on me are, we?, asked Preeti, with a twinkle in her eye. “Let’s begin guys”.

“Tonight dear Professor, we are going to tell you the importance of salt.”

“Salt?’. She asked.

“You just sit back and relax”, John told her pulling up a comfy beanbag.

“Our body needs electrolytes to function and one of the electrolyte it needs is salt.”, Sylvia started.

“Salt triggers a goofy thing in our body that makes us drink water and when we drink water...”, carried on Joanna

“Our kidneys send adequate electrolytes into our blood which ensures that...”, said Darren

“The blood pressure is constant” completed Susan. She continued “What’s more, salt is important for our nerves. Do you know that you can jog without any pain because salts prevents muscle cramping?”

“Salt prevents sunstroke, ensures that our bones has enough calcium. It also helps us digest food and absorb all the good nutrients” Laxmi added.

“Here try this, my latest creation,” said Stephanie, handing Preeti some casserole.

“How is it?”, she asked.

After gulping down whatever she had in her mouth, Preeti replied, “Frankly, it’s bad.”

“As it should be, “said Stephanie. “Salt kick starts amylase, an enzyme which helps you taste food. This dish, doesn’t have any.”

“Do you know that our stomachs have the capacity to digest itself and salt ensures that it doesn’t do so.” asked Juno

“You don’t have any intake of salt in your body, our body temperature can fluctuate from one extreme to the other. The body can go into a state of shock and you can die.
“That’s interesting” Preeti said “I...”
“And that is why my dear, you are as precious as a grain of salt.”, said a surprisingly familiar voice from nowhere.
“Who...”, Preeti started...
“Vijay, who else?” the voice replied.
Her students just disappeared and she was left alone in the room, her heart beating in a crazy rhythm of its own.
Vijay entered the room and just stood there.
“What are you doing here”, Preeti asked.
“Just hoping that you will be ready to talk now. I have been miserable without you.”
“What do you mean by that? You did not even show up”
“Yes, I didn’t. There was an emergency. One of students needed help and I could not leave him. I was sure you would understand. I kept calling, not wanting to turn up at your door step. Thought you would like to have some space.”
“You were never serious about us.”
“I was going to ask you to marry me. This salt performance, I had practiced it again and again in  my head. Was just waiting for the right moment, which you gave me when you asked, what do you mean to me.”
“Then why didn’t you call, message. You were not there for me. You let me go, leave you and come here.”
“I tried to get in touch. You had blocked my account. The emails kept bouncing back. I tried calling you, but you did not pick up the phone. And on my salary, I could hardly afford to fly to London, whenever I  desired. After a few months, I decided to give you some space. I thought, the further we are, the closer we will be from here,” he said pointing at his heart.
“How did you manage to come now?”
“ I couldn't bear being without you. I tried to save as much as possible and then I got a stroke of good luck. I came across this airline, British Airways, who advertisement inspired me.

I worked up the courage  to go speak to their manager, who decided to give my story a ha...” he stopped and then continued, with his eyes closed, “an ending. Happy or otherwise". He grinned, without that laughter reaching his eyes.

She was so wrong. All his jokes, that laughter...she never realized that he loved her. She took a decision on the spot, walked close to him and looked into his eyes. Slowly, she pulled out the scrunchie from her hair and bent down on one knee. “I don’t have a ring, just this scrunchie that remotely resembles one. I hope our story gets a happy ending. I am a temperamental, tantrum throwi...”
“Shh” he said, pulling her up and wrapping his hands around her, “I will never leave you”
And he did fulfill his promise for the rest of their lives.

*****

I sure do hope that you enjoyed this love story and one of the important things that helped made Preeti and Vijay's story a success was a little help from British Airways. Let's have a look at their company.

From their website.

"British Airways is a full service global airline, offering year-round low fares with an extensive global route network flying to and from centrally-located airports."

Do take their love quiz to find out if you are as close as Preeti and Vijay

Author Interview: Neha Sharma

Books which are an extension of screenplays are quite new India. I got an opportunity to interview Neha Sharma, author of The Sum of Two Wholes - Total Siyapaawhich is based on the movie, ‘Total Siyapaa’. Before I tell you what we spoke about, let’s get to know Neha and her book better.

Meet Neha

Neha Sharma is a freelance writer based in Mumbai. She was smitten by the written word while reading the school prescribed Peter and Janeseries.  Nehas writing journey began as a copywriter, before moving on to creating and editing content, writing travel features, and penning short stories, a format she is very partial to.Neha is a travel enthusiast and an avid cricket fan the kind who can score a game, down to every leg-bye.

About the Book                                                                                                                                                                                             For every movie-goer who wonders how Aman and Aasha fell in love, this book promises a tickling access into their journey. Its an experiment in experiential entertainment that cuts across cinematic and book platforms.  The plot of the book is different from the movie plot and it allows the reader to experience the story differently and understand the dreams, dilemmas and emotions of the characters.

This book has been published by Harlequin India and you can visit their website here

Who approached you to write a book on a screenplay of a movie? What was your first reaction?
I had worked with Harlequin India before on a project, and they approached me to get on board with the project, along with the film makers. I liked the idea of both the movie, and the proposed novel, which is why I took it on.

Did you watch the movie to get some idea about the characters or did you let your imagination shape them?
I did read through the script to get a feel of the characters, but from there on, like I said before, I had a lot of freedom to take the story and the characters forward.

How easy or difficult was to come up with a book on an already written screenplay?
Well, writing is always difficult, so yes, there’s a lot of work that went into the story. And I in this case, I had a set of defined characters heading in a defined direction, and my story had to stay true to that, to what was in the screenplay. However since the novel works almost as a prequel to the movie, I did have the freedom, and the creative license while taking the two characters, Aman and Aashaa, towards where we see them in the film.

Are your characters in the book different from that of the movie? If yes, how?
I’d say the characters in the book are true to what you see on the big screen. You do see another side of them in the book though, as well as their romantic journey.

How often do you write?
I am a freelance writer, so writing is part of my daily routine, be it a commissioned article, a short story, or blog posts. But how much I write depends on the deadline at hand, or how cooperative the words are being. I have had days when all I have managed is a paragraph, and others where I’ve written six thousand words in one go.

What is the best part of being a freelance writer?
I love the freedom it offers me. I have the luxury of taking on projects at my convenience, of determining my deadlines, and I also have control on the subject matter I opt to write about. Of course, being a career freelance writer requires a great deal of discipline in terms of time management and productivity. I am absolutely useless at it, and you’ll find me writing away into the midnight!

Rapid Fire

Favourite childhood candy– Smarties

First crush– Julian from the Famous Five

Falling in love or eating as many chocolate as your heart desires– Eating chocolate; it’s all about avoiding dental treatments

Describe in one word the feeling when you held the first copy of your book –Joy

Choose between a leisurely stroll in the park and bar hopping–Depends on the time of day :D

And that's all for now :)

Around Malaysia in 80 hours

$

If there is one country that represents all the cultures in South Asia, it has to be Malaysia. Eid is observed with the same reverence as the Chinese New year and Diwali is celebrated with the same gusto as Christmas. The large Tamil population with the festival of Taipusam, adds a piece of its culture to the region’s festive calendar, as well. The abundance and wide variety of flora and fauna to be found in the country are only comparable to the wide range of delectable Malaysian delicacies one gets to taste here.

I have been watching ‘Malaysia Truly Asia’ ads for the past few years and they have never failed to mesmerize me. This summer, my family and I are going to Malaysia to have the best time of our lives. J

But there is one catch. Just a few days back, I managed to land a dream internship which starts within a week from the day I return home from my hostel. But my Mom (a big Jules Verne fan) has come with an idea. She told us, “Why don’t we go Around Malaysia in 80 hours?” An awesome plan isn’t it?

So here’s how we are going to go about completing Mission Malaysia in 80 hours.

Step 1: Visit the Malaysian Tourism website. Here is the link

Step 2: Get inspired by amazing videos

Step 3: Make use of it’s amazing features to plan your trip

Use their amazing mobile app!

Offers and discounts galore!

I have already started planning my trip using their Trip Planner :D

The Trip Planner is truly a useful feature and I am tempted to add as many places as possible. But keeping my mission in mind, ‘Mission Malaysia in 80 hours’ I have come up with 5 places that I will be visiting.

Petronas Towers, Kuala Lumpur

At 451.9 m, the Petronas Towers are the tallest Twin towers in the world. The 88 storey building has a stunning view of the city. A blend of modernity and tradition is an apt way to describe these towers. Made of steel and glass from outside, but featuring traditional interiors, these towers are symbolic of what Malaysia as a country is.

On my ‘To Do’ List

I plan to visit the Skybridge and click loads of pictures

Stand in awe as I see the city’s skyline from the Viewing Deck located on the 86th Floor.

Time Management

My flight will directly land in Kuala Lumpur, so after a refreshing shower, filling my tummy with yummy food and resting for a while (3 hours in all) I will visit the Twin Towers. After that, I intend to visit the Aquaria KLCC which is at walking distance from the towers. And since I am in Kuala Lumpur, I plan to catch up on some shopping, too. I am planning to visit the Central Market to buy some souvenirs and BBKLCC to indulge in some luxury.

So total time spent in Kuala Lumpur is 3 + 7 hours. I also plan to catch up on some sleep as I tend to have terrible jet lags. So that is another 8 hours.

I am left with

62 hours

Cameron High, Pahang

Located about 1500 m above sea level, the Cameron Highlands (Titiwangsa Range) are Malaysia’s largest hill resort. Here I am going to enjoy organically produced tea and strawberries and enjoy the beauty of the different types of flowers grown here. The tea plantations overlook scenic hills, which are best enjoyed while eating sweet strawberries.

On my ‘To Do’ List

Plucking some strawberries to make some preserve back home

Learn how tea is produced

Walking in the Mossy Forest and enjoying the company of birds and animals

Time Management

The distance from Kuala Lumpur to Cameron High is 250 kms. or about 4 hours by road.  I plan to leave early in the morning and enjoy breakfast on the way. Also, it would be a waste, if I do not spend some time on this beautiful resort.

So one can safely cut at least 20 hours from the schedule.

I am left with

42 hours

Melaka City, Melaka

A UNESCO world heritage city, Melaka encompasses 600 year old history of Malaysia. With beautiful buildings depicting Dutch, British and Portugues influence, this city is a must visit for history buffs.

On my To Do List

Visiting Porta de Santiago, Stadthuys and the Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum

Going on a Heritage trail and bargaining for antiques at the Jonker Street and Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock

Go on a river cruise

Time Management

Melaka is about 230 kms. away from Pahang and will take about 3 and half hours to reach. I plan to spend 5 hours in this beautiful city before heading off to my next destination.

I am left with

34 hours

Legoland and Hello Kitty Town, Johor

Interactive displays, roller coasters, theme areas, a Miniland with replicas of Asia’s most famous land marks made of LEGO bricks, Legoland is perfect for me. Next, I will pay a visit to the Hello Kitty park with it’s Hello Kitty house filled with Hello Kitty things. Kids are going to love this and so am I J

On my ‘To Do’ List

Getting on as many rides as possible

Enjoying the live Hello Kitty show on the Purrfect stage

Time Management

It is about 215 kms. from Melaka and one can reach in about 2 hours. Though I love amusement parks, I don’t plan to spend more than 3 hours here. I am running short of time you see! Not to forget, 8 hours of my beauty sleep.

So I am left with

19 hours

Gunung Mulu National Park, Sarawak

The largest underground chamber, the Sarawak Chamber, that can accommodate 40 Boeing airplanes, the biggest cave passage that can fit 5 cathedrals, the Deer Cave, and the longest cave of South Asia, Clear Water Cave, which is home to millions of bats, the Gunung Mulu National Park is definitely going to be an exciting finish to my Malaysia Marathon.

On my ‘To Do’ list

Visiting the deep cut canyons, the Pinnacles

Enjoying nature

Hiking!

Time Management

This is going to be difficult to pull off. It is 1075 kms. from Johor. That is why; I am going to ditch my road trip and go by air which will take about 2 hours.
Leaving me about 17 hours to enjoy this park, get some rest, pack and leave for Mumbai…phew!

So I am left with

With everything goes according to plan, I am going to be left with 0 hours and can proudly say, “Mission Malaysia in 80 hours” Accomplished!

Ready Reckoner

Getting there
From Mumbai, it takes 5 hours to reach Kuala Lumpur. Flights are easily available and you have a wide range of options to choose from. Getting a Malaysian tourist visa is not difficult and takes 15 days at the most.

Currency

The Malaysian currency is called Ringgit (RM), which is divided into 100 sens. You can use MasterCard and Visa credit cards here along with traveller’s cheques.
Climate
Malaysia is a tropical country with a warm and humid climate throughout the year. It’s hill resorts do tend to be cooler.
When should you visit:  The winter tourist season is from December to January and it is a good time to visit the country since a lot of festivals happen around this time.
The summer tourist season is from June to August and you should book tickets and hotels in advance because they are hard to come by during this time.
What to Wear. Wear light and comfortable clothing throughout your trip. You don’t have to carry a lot of woolens unless you are visiting hill resorts that tend to be colder.
What to do: Thoroughly enjoy yourself!
I would like to end this post with a prayer for the Malaysian Airliner.

“Where are you?”, she asked. There was nobody in the room. She looked around. The room had no doors, no windows and was completely white.

“I am still in your womb Ma, you can’t see me.”

“But I was in the hospital, how did I come here?”, she was confused. It was a strange place. Was she dreaming?

“No Ma, you are not, I made you come here.” her li’l one said. Rhea’s thoughts instead of staying within her, echoed and her baby could hear it.

“I am too scared to enter the world”, the child cried.

“Beta, come to me. The world is not as bad as you think”, she tried to cajole the baby but the sobs did not end. She wanted to hold her in arms and rock her and cover her with kisses. But there was no one around; she felt so helpless…

“Ma, all I see is bad things around me, I want to remain safe in my little cocoon”, her little girl said, still crying.

Immediately, pictures of terrorism, destruction of the environment and war started flashing before her eyes. And just as they did, the baby’s crying became uncontrollable. Rhea, scared, realized what was happening. She closed her eyes and tried to imagine happier things.

Finally she spoke out, “Beta, I am going to tell you about my childhood, the village I stayed in, Kissanpur. Would you like to hear about it?”

“Yes Ma”, the baby replied.

And relived some of the most happiest moments of her life

I lived in a beautiful green house, with my two baby brothers, the naughtiest but the most lovable brats in the world. The three of us were best friends with nature.

My eyes would open in the morning, when the sunlight would streak in through the ceiling and then the fun would begin.

I surely did go to school but the three of us would leave early so that we could take the most scenic route and try to spot as many birds as possible.

We loved to walk through the fields when they were being watered and sometimes we would arrive in school half drenched much to our teacher's consternation.

During the lunch break, we would rush back home, this time taking the sensible short court, for we would be too hungry to enjoy the nature's beauty. Can you see those puppies and that goat? They belonged to us. When we would have to trudge back to school to study for another hour, the four of them would be enjoying a peaceful nap.

By this time, her child had stopped crying and she could see the changes in the white room. It seemed brighter and somehow, happier. She continued narrating the memories of her childhood.

When we returned, the weather would start turning a little foggy and a chill would set in. We would rush home as fast as possible to sit near the crackling fire that would've started.

The best time of the week would be the weekends, Saturday and Sunday.

We would be left to our own devices and would visit the nearby lake, in the hope of catching some fish.

Pluck some berries

We would roam around plucking beautiful flowers...

Pluck the freshest of vegetables from the fields

Attempt to get spot some langurs

Play with little calves

And finally return home happily when the moon would come out.

Rhea could feel a sense of calm in the room, she could feel her baby smiling.

In order to welcome you to this beautiful world, I planted a small plant in our backyard the day I got the good news. We always wanted you to be grow in Mother Nature's lap. Dancing in the rains, playing in the winters, climbing trees during summer and being friends with the beautiful animals who shared the world with us.

******

She opened her eyes to find herself in another white room, this time with a doctor and her husband hovering over her.

Rhea there were complications in the delivery. You passed out..., There were tears in her hubby's eyes. But we managed to save the baby. It's a miracle darling, our miracle

Rhea just smiled and murmured, Welcome to this beautiful world darling

Hostel Hacks

Hello Everybody,

Today I am going to introduce a new page to my blog, ‘Hostel Hacks’. Surviving in a hostel is not easy and one can’t even get simple things (things which you would take for granted at home) done. This goes without saying, hostelwallahs are usually broke, too. I have a double disadvantage. My hostel is situated nearly 10 kms. away from the main town and I cannot afford to pay the autowala’s fare, every time I need something. So using Google Baba and some of my own creativity (it is ok to show off sometimes J) I have started making simple things to make my life easier. The materials used are the ones that you can easily find in the markets or even in and around your hostel. Hope you enjoy these simple DIY’s J

My first DIY were two boxes to organize the teeny tiny things that I would keep losing. Here is a step by step tutorial.

Here are the things you need

An empty carton box
Scissors
Glue
Rough paper lying around (I used my last semesters notes :P) and one crumpled up gift wrapping paper
Embellishments (old bracelet, wool, Kitkats silver foil and some wool)
Chocolate (all this DIY business makes me hungry!)

Tutorial

First cut the box into two halves carefully and cover one of the halves with paper.

Don’t let the second half go waste. Take some glue and stick flap neatly. Allow it to dry for about ten minutes and cover it with paper, too.

Then you have the freedom to go funky and decorate your two boxes.

I took some colourful strands of wool to make a bow for one. I also cut the  Kitkat wrapper into some thin strips and stuck it all around the box.

For the second one, I stretched my old bracelet and put it around the box and stuck some shells on it.

Now the best part, fill the boxes up with the things you keep losing and flaunt it on your table.

Hope you enjoyed this simple tutorial. Your feedback will be really appreciated :)

From Smelly Sapiens to Homo Sapiens

Chintu was in tears as he ran to the nearest temple and bowed his head in front of the almighty. “I am fed up of life God. I give up; I cannot change these stinking people. Please help me”, he cried. “These people are incorrigible.”

Suddenly, he saw something shimmering at a distance and a wise old man stepped in the temple. “Dear child, why are you disturbing God for such trivial matters? Tell me what is your problem and I shall see what I can do”

Chintu turned towards the old man and said, “I have tried everything. There’s nothing that you or anyone else can do. I need a miracle.”

“Humour me. Tell me what are your problems at least. God is right here.” he said pointing towards the idol, “He will listen to whatever you tell me.”

Chintu just sighed, “I hope you are patient enough to listen to my story”

The old man just smiled and Chintu poured his heart out.

“I live with 5 species of animals. Yes, you hear me right, they are animals, nobody who lives in such a filthy condition can be called human beings. The first day when I walked into the college, I remember wondering, “What’s that smell boss?”, but I ignored it. That was the first warning I ignored. After that there were many more, but I was too naïve to realize it back then. But now I am stuck with Smelly Sapiens, who are present in large numbers in the hostel I live….”

The old man just nodded and Chintu continued.

“I am going to tell you about them”

Scientific name: Garbagescious foul bombicus

Commonly known as: The foul smelling bombs

Habitat:  A giant bed surrounded by all sorts of garbage imaginable; rotten pizza, smelly socks that act as chloroform, ants on a date on 10 day old chocolate wrappers, cockroaches making merry on banana peels, gym clothes and an expired bag of chips thrown in.

Characteristics: Muddy clothes, runny nose and covered with food.

What they eat: Any expired food they can get their hands on

Scientific name: Pesticus controliscius

Commonly known as: The pest control
Habitat: The gym; the only activity they do is huff and puff on treadmills, lift weights and do push ups.

Characteristics:The most sought after species in the entire campus; old aunties take them home when there is a population explosion of cockroaches.

What they eat: High protein bars and shakes

Scientific name: Drenchicus Colognenion

Commonly known as: Drenched in cologne

Habitat:The nearest mall where they can get free samples of perfumes, cologne and deodorants

Characteristics: They go berserk when they see the latest Axe ad, truly believe in their claims and drench themselves in it. If you can smell a strong floral/fruity/musky/woody breeze wafting towards you, the Drenchicus Cologenion cannot be far behind.

Scientific name: Stinkacious Mouthacus

Commonly known as: Stinky mouths

Habitat:Any place that sells food containing humungous amounts of onion and garlic

Characteristics:Mouth reeking of such foul odors that you cannot stand near them without a mask.

Scientific name: Smellicias Feetinis

Commonly known as: Smelly feet

Habitat:The normally roam around wherever they want in their shoes. Now it wouldn’t be a problem if they removed their shoe once a year and changed their socks every few months or so, but unfortunately they don’t.

Characteristics:Are seen wearing shoes that emit fumes that are hazardous to the environment and human beings.

With this Chintu stopped speaking and looked up at the wise old man.

The old man stared at him for a while and finally spoke, “This is your problem?”

“Yes”, said Chintu bitterly, “This is the problem that I have had to live with for the past one year.”

The old man threw his head back and laughed and laughed and then laughed some more.

Finally, wiping tears off his face, he said one word, “Racold” and clicked his fingers twice. And lo and behold, there appeared a shiny white gadget with Racold inscribed on it.

“Do you know what this is?” The old man asked and Chintu just shook his head.

“This is Racold,” he replied as if that explained everything. Seeing the confused look on Chintu’s face he just flicked his hand and a giant screen appeared with...

Read”, the old man commanded and Chintu just did that.

Here are the reasons you can use to convince your friends to use Racold

It gives your muscles a much needed rest

Come winter, sunshine or rains, Racold is perfect for every season

 Racold = Good health

Racold recharged you for the entire week ahead

The wise old man clapped twice and a small clip started playing

“You may leave Chintu,” the wise old man said and just vanished. Chintu looked around, rubbing his eyes checking if it was a dream, but he saw a shiny new Racold heater lying in front of him. He picked it up, vowing, to get rid of the Smelly Sapiens in the campus.

*****

Epilogue

A fragrant breeze was blowing in the campus, even as the flowers swayed merrily. The birds had returned to their nests and were tweeting and chirping their heart out. The sun was shining brightly and small squirrels playing their own little game of Hide and Seek. And what about our hero, Chintu? Well, he was living happily ever after with Racold and his new found friends, Smelly Sapiens turned Homo Sapiens.

Book Review: Monsoon Memories

“Sometimes the hardest journeys are the ones that lead you home”, with these intriguing lines I embarked on a wonderful journey with Shirin, the protagonist of Monsoon Memories.

Set in two different countries; one in the UK and the other in India; Monsoon Memories gives the reader, a glimpse into three different worlds. Why three, you may ask? That’s because Shirin’s India is quite different from Reena’s, a 11 year old super sleuth trying to solve the mystery of a hidden photograph she found in one of her old albums. You are effortlessly transported from Shirin’s past to her present with Reena, delighting us with her doggedness to solve the mystery in between.

Shirin’s life revolves around her friend, Kate and her husband, Vinod, who provides her quiet support and love as she struggles to deal with her past.  Initially, though she tries to fight her memories, she starts coming to terms with them and relives her childhood with her two siblings; Anita and Deepak, Madhu, her nanny  and her mother. Memories of Sister Maya’s Bulbous Nose and Shirin’s horror when she came to know that Madhu applied cow dung on her face as a child gives you that warm gooey feeling inside because you can relate her anecdotes to your childhood, as well.

I was captivated by Reena and her curiosity, the way she tries to get information from the adults are being secretive. But this was a sore point for me as well; Reena seemed to be too mature for her age. This is the only thing that nagged while reading Renita’s enthralling novel.

The novel is vividly descriptive with its ancestral houses, khatta meetha bimblis, the strict mother and the caring Nanny, who snorts at the mention of washing machines. Puffed up puris and gluey bhajis, any child’s favourite maggi and bournvita, raw jackfruit curry, plantain podis, koilolis and other delicacies made my tummy rumble.
The story is not merely about Shirin alone, it has several undercurrents, too. Renita talks about forgoing one’s love to keep the traditions alive, falling in love after an arranged marriage, the delicate balance of religion based politics, which threatens to falls apart at any point of time and most importantly, how a woman does not have to martyr herself for the family. She has the right to be furious with those who abandoned her just stop some tongues wagging.

But how are Reena and Shirin connected? Well, I won’t give it away because I want you read this book for yourself, live in their bitter sweet world and experience their pain, love, anguish and eventually peace on your own.

About the Author

Renita loves stories - both reading and creating them. She is the author of ‘Monsoon Memories’ and is currently working on her second novel also set in India. She was born in the picturesque coastal village of Kallianpur near Mangalore and now lives with her husband and children just outside of London.

How Star Sports has changed the way I watch Cricket

Being a girl, people somehow assume that I don’t know cricket and I one of those air heads who adores Mr. Captain Cool or Virat ‘I love to swear’ Kohli just because they look hot. (Not that I have anything against either of them)

In reality, I am a hard core cricket fan who loves to watch matches, live preferably and if I am broke, in High Definition so that I don’t miss any of the action. But what irked me until a few years back was the fact that I had to miss matches if I was interning late in office. I would stare at the screen and pretend to be busy while my heart would be screaming at the minute’s hand, “Y U NO MOVE FASTER?”

Well, not anymore.

Thanks to my knight in shining armour, a digital armour mind you, which comes loaded with amazing videos, tidbits and latest news from the world of cricket, especially IPL i.e.  starsports.comI can now watch cricket through on my laptop, on my tab and even on my smartphone.

So now instead of waiting for an SMS to tell me about the latest score, I just visit my favourite website and enjoy the match, while pretending to be busy of course J

The craziest thing this Munni has done to watch cricket is...

Climbed a tree!

Oh yes, during vacations, when we would go to my Nani’s house my Mom would forbid us to watch TV. Yes, even cricket matches. We were not allowed to enter the dining room because the TV was kept there.

My cousins and I, desperate to watch some cricket decided to go to the neighbour’s house, a cranky old man who hated children. (actually only us, because we would ring his doorbell and run away :D)

Anyway, we decided to stand outside his window and watch the match but he spotted us. Muttering something, he pulled the curtains and turned off the TV, much to our dismay. He then went upstairs and switched on his other TV.
Not the ones to give up easily, all of us climbed the nearest tree and merrily watched the match for the entire day. J

A cricket fan is crazy, actually absolutely nuts and I have lots of anecdotes in my kitty, which prove how crazy I am about cricket!

Once, there was no electricity in the house and I could not watch the India Pakistan semi final match in the world cup! Needless to say that I was devastated. My clever little brother came up to me and told me that he knew a way to get the latest score. I did not believe him. But that annoying little brat did tell me the score at regular intervals. Was he a wizard who knew magic? I thought to myself. Anyway, I was desperate to know the score and decided to give in to his demand of handing over a month’s pocket money, my precious 50 rupees. Once I did, he started laughing like a maniac and handed me the tape recorder. I asked him, “What am I supposed to do with that?”
He replied, “Just switch on the radio and enjoy the match”.

All that anxiety of missing the match because there was no electricity made me forget the wonders of a radion.

#Facepalm!

Star Sports: Candy store for Cricket Fans!

What will happen if you leave a kid at a candy store? He will react exactly in the same way as this Munni will when browsing through Star Sports.

I mean that place is a heaven for cricket and IPL fans!

Let’s have a look at a few features...

It is an official partner for Pepsi IPL, so you get access to exclusive content!
Since it is the official partner, all your content is legal and watching pirated versions is so uncool

It gives you Live sports action that can be matched by, you guessed it, no one.
HD quality videos... Need I say more?

Adaptive streaming that figures out your bandwidth and offers you quality content that your connection can support.

You can use it on any device. Yes, you heard it right, ANY device!

You can customize your viewing experience

It has a cricket timeline that allows you to hit pause and start again whenever you wish.

And now for the craziest things I have done to watch the match; I remember this anecdote from school.

I was a crazy Sachin fans as a kid (I still am) and I had a deal with my Mom. Whenever Tendulkar was batting, she would write down the latest score and put it in my lunch box and send it with the dabbawala during our lunch break. One day she forgot to do that and I started throwing a tantrum (I was a kid wasn't I)

The dabbawala promised me that if I ate my lunch, he would tell me the latest score. I agreed and sat down for lunch and he went outside college to look for the nearest electronic store. Once he located it, he memorized Sachin's score and told me.

When I returned home after one and a half hour, I was delighted to know that Sachin had scored a century!

Throwing a tantrum in school was the craziest thing I've done for my love of cricket and Sachin. :)

Sacrificing my Pokemon Collection for Cricket

$

My schedule as a kid was fixed; I would leave for school at 8 and come back at 3:30. The bus would drop me home exactly on time and mom would walk me home. However, on 14 March, 2001 the Teacher fell sick and the school could find a substitute teacher. I was let off early from school and I took a BEST bus to reach home.

I knew something big was happening because all that people seemed to be talking about was Dravid’s and Laxman’s innings. I happily ran into my building and rang the bell but nobody opened the door. I rang the bell again and again and again. I peered through the peephole, walked to the back of the house, towards mom's room and shouted. Maybe mom had fallen asleep, I thought. But the fan was switched off, I could see it from the windows. She was not home. Now what do I do?, I thought. I desperately wanted to watch the match but I was helpless.

I sat down on the stairs thinking of places mom could’ve gone to and then walked in the evil sisters of my building. They knew that I was a cricket fan (atic) and would always tease me mercilessly for liking ‘boy things’. Anyway, the saw me sitting on the stairs and they communicated through telepathy to hatch a plan (No, I am not exaggerating)

Meena, the elder sister spoke up, “Hey Khushboo, why are you sitting outside? Mom’s not at home”

“No”, I said glumly. (If I looked really sad and lost like a puppy, maybe they would take pity on me?)

Alas, I was mistaken!

“You can come to our house, you know”, Seema said.

“And watch the match, too”, Meena added sweetly, a little too sweetly in my opinion.

“But di!”, little bratty Seema exclaimed, “Aren’t we supposed to catch the latest episode of Kyunki Saas...”, her voice trailed off.

“Oh yes...”, Meena said with an exaggerated sigh. “We...”

“Ok, tell me what you want and it is yours”, I decided to butt in. I knew they were up to something and instead of wasting my precious time on seeing their theatrics, I decided to just give in.

“Your Pokemon card collection and Taazos”, Meena and Seema said in unison.

“What?”, I shouted

“Take it or leave it”, Meena smirked.

“I have been accumulating them for years!!! Do you know how precious they are? Do you know the size of the collection?”, I was having trouble keeping my voice down.

“Dear, we know” said Seema giving that fake smile of hers. Oh how I hated the two of them!

“I don’t think the match is important for you. After all, the match is quite regular. There seems to be some follow up and two guys are batting well and stuff”

“Follow up? You mean Follow on?” I said angrily. I did not deserve this!

“Follow up...Follow on, whatever it is. You won’t get to see it unless your mom returns, which she won’t. Mom was saying that aunty has gone to Bandra.”, the nasty little girl said.

Oh what the hell, I thought. “Fine, let’s go.” And stomped into their house.
“But what if she does not give it to us after watching the match?”. Seema asked.
I turned around, gave her my chilliest glare and said, “I swear on Sachin Tendulkar that I will give my Pokemon cards and Taazo collection to you.”

This was the craziest thing I had ever done. I was in tears when I had to hand it over to them after three hours, when mom finally returned. I cried for days, secretly of course. Brave girls don’t cry in public.

In hindsight, it was the best decision I ever made. India went on to win the match by an innings. J

When it comes to starsports.com; the thing I love the most about them is that it gives me the independence to watch cricket whenever and wherever I want. I may be stuck in traffic, in office or locked outside my house, I can still watch all the watches through the Star Sports app I have installed on my cell phone!

Basically, if Star Sports was available in 2001 and if I had a smart phone, I wouldn’t have to go through all the pain of losing my Pokemon collection :P

Using Munnabhai’s Idea for the Love of Cricket

$
0
0

Do you know what is the worst part about cricket? Matches are usually played on the week days and more often than not, on Mondays. I hate the person who schedules them!
Anyway, about 5 years back, when I had just started Junior College and as usual, I had to choose between attending an economics lecture and watching India’s match. Guess which, of the two options I would choose, if given a chance. But with my college being 30 seconds from college, there was no way I could bunk. Plus, I had low attendance and could not afford to bunk another class.

Obviously, I was irritated and kept swatting my friends away with a flick of hand, until one of them decided enough was enough.

Nithya came up to me and shook me, literally. “What’s up? Why that long face?”, she asked me.

“Are you God? Only God can help me be at two places at one time”, I said glumly.
“Eh jyada natak math kar. Temme where you need to be?”

And then I told her my tale. All the angst poured out and at the end of it all I was screaming about the unfairness of it all.

“Ho gaya?”, Nithya asked rolling her eyes. “Have you watched Munnabhai?” and then she told me her Master plan.

There was an easy way to be in two places at one time. All I had to do was to bring the two places together. You still did not understand? Let me elaborate. J

The problem: Watching the match and being present, physically, for the lecture. (The catch is physically, let me tell you that)

Things required: Headphones, a phone with headphones, a scarf, tissues and some rouge.

The process: I dabbed some rouge on the nose to make it look red, wrapped a scarf around my head, carried tissues around and pretended to cough and sneeze every five minutes.

I entered the class in the same condition, so that everybody steered clear of me, except Nithya of course.

I sat on the last bench, switched on the mobile radio hide the headphones under my scarf and listened to the commentary.

The possible obstacles: Obviously, I could not cheer loudly, every time we hit a six or four but I did whoop once but managed to pass it off as a very loud cough.

That was one of the craziest thing I had done to watch cricket and somehow I managed to pull it off without being caught.

Well, that was 5 years back. Now with the age of smartphones, tablets and the phablets, it is very easy to watch matches in the classroom. The best app, according to me Starsport’s. It is so easy to download and install, is compatible with all types of phones and best of all, it does not cost a rupee. What more can any student ask for? J

Do download the app, do visit Starsports.com

Do Right

$

Dear Reader,

I want you to lose your eyes for a minute and think; think about your school days. What do you remember? Friends? Hi- bye friends, Sitting next to me friend, Bus friend and of course the BF i.e. Best Friend. Teachers? Strict ones, Adorable ones, Can’t raise her voice above the din ones and the Cool ones. What else do you remember? Think for a while. Buying cotton candies and golas when you were finally released from school, going for Maths tuitions, being excited about the school functions and the school picnic, which would be one of the most important events of the school and of course the sports meet.

Did you have any complaints during your school days? Well, we all did, didn’t we?
How could school start so early? Why were forced to oil our hair? Why did we have to polish our shoes? The school seats are uncomfortable, why did they make three people share a bench? Why were we given so much homework?

I am sure that if we sat down for longer than a minute, we could come up with a lot more.

Now, I am going to ask you for another minute. Think back and try to remember your classroom. The stationery you used. The bag packs you carried. The number of erasers you lost (I remember losing at least three every week, come to think of it, I still do).

Now, why am I suddenly rambling about school days? Is a reunion coming up? Am I missing my friends or teachers? No, it’s not that. I watched a video and it made me realize something important.

I want to take 3 more minutes of your time and I want you to watch that video.

Do you see the contrast?

Back in our school days, we took everything for granted. Notebook got over? No problem, mom would hand us a crisp 20 rupee note and we would go and buy one. Eraser got lost? We had an entire dabba of Smiley erasers at home. Money for picnic? It would be given to us without even batting an eyelid? Were the school fans not cooling enough during the summers? The entire PTA would march to the principal’s office for their li’l one’s comfort.

Now, think about Chandrakumar Pradhan and his needs. Just 20 school kits and 2 blackboards. Basic amenities that we take for granted. Our children don’t have to walk for 2 kms on a hilly terrain to reach school. They don’t have to sit on the floor in a cramped room. They don’t have to struggle to collect money to buy a notebook. All they have to do is study.

All these little children want to do is study, too and this man is making their dreams come true. Fortunately, for them, their story has ended on a happy note. People like you and me came together and fulfilled his dreams. So, what should you do now? Go back to work and forget about him? Obviously, we are delighted for him but he is not the only one out there who is asking for help. There are so many others with needs so basic that it will  make you sob.

Take a minute again tomorrow. Recollect that video that you just saw. See the faces of these children, delighted to receive new books and stationery.

And then #DoRight for someone, anyone. That’s all I ask of you.

Lot’s of Love,
Khushboo

Synopsis of book

Set against the serene beauty of Kashmir, Ladakh and Tibet, Kingdom Come is a gripping story of death and loss, vengeance and retribution, love and life.
Krivi Iyer is an embittered former spy and bomb defusal expert with only one regret. That he couldn't catch The Woodpecker, a dangerous, mentally unstable bomber who ended his partner's family. He has a second chance to go after his arch enemy with the arrival of Ziya Maarten, the manager of 'Goonj Business Enterprises' in Srinagar, Kashmir, who is alleged to be The Woodpecker's sister.
When a tragedy in London tears Ziya's life apart, she can only rely on Krivi to give her the absolution and vengeance she needs to move on.
But will two tortured souls find the courage to love?
My Thoughts on the Book

A fast paced novel, with a crisp plot, strong characters and a twist so shocking that you cannot even imagine in your wildest dreams; this book is definitely a must read.
The author does not take time to build a story but makes her reader drive headlong into action. Krivi Iyer, plays your brooding hero with a painful past, who saves a businessman’s daughter from the clutches of death, gets a call from Harold, a man hell bent upon catching the Woodpecker, the world’s most dangerous terrorist and leaves for Kashmir to establish contact with Ziya Maarten. Who could possibly be the Woodpecker’s sister? After reading a few pages, you will definitely have to take time off to catch your breath.

That being said, there were two things in the plot that really irked me. The first being a reference to Naxalism. True, it was just a single sentence in the entire book, but I hate it when people use it so casually. It is a very complex issue and it should not be used to make a point about terrorism.

The second thing that seemed to be hastily done was Harold allowing Ziya, very easily, to become a part of his mission. A little build- up would have been nice.

When I picked up this book, the first thought that came to my mind was that it is really an unusual name for a book; I still haven’t managed to figure out its significance. But then, to quote one of the most clichéd phrases in the world, “What’s in a name?”
The plot is well thought out, it is set in the backdrop of terrorism and the issue has been dealt with sensitively, the research that has gone into creating an authentic military experience for the reader is commendable, the love story is beautifully woven into the story, without taking away the focus from the main plot and the end will definitely make your eyes pop out. Trust, me I read the last chapter at least 3 times so that it could sink in.

Last thoughts, it’s a totally, paisa vasool book. Do pick it up the next time you walk into a book store J
